Turmoil Biography

Turmoil

Having originally gotten together for the intention of just looking for something to do in their suburb outside of Philledipha, the five members of Turmoil had no idea how serious this band would eventually become. Showing their appreciation for other East Coast hardcore acts such as Agnostic Front, the Cro-Mags, Sick of it All among others, Turmoil formed in 1992 and immediately flowed with the European release of their first EP "Who Says Time Heals All Wounds?" Not wasting anytime, an abundance of touring followed all through the Mid-West and their home territory of the East Coast, before their first full-length "From Bleeding Hands" was released in 1994. Playing countless gigs with across the United States helped contribute to a larger following -gigging with Madball, Earth Crisis and Snapcase couldn't have hurt either-before their second full-length, 1997's "Anchor" was released. With the steady line-up of Jon Gula (vocals), Jonathan Hodges (guitar), James Winters (guitar), Wayne Miller (bass) and Jon Pushnik (drums) in full effect, 1998 saw the band inking a deal with Century Media Records who issued"The Process Of..." the following year. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
