Shajan Biography

Shajan

Shajan specializes in meditative music, specifically that which applies to the spiritual enhancement of Reiki, a popular holistic form of hands-on healing. The London-born son of a Malaysian ambassador fell in love with the sounds of the Far East during his travels to China, Taiwan, Bali, and Singapore. In 2002 Shajan signed to the Sequoia label and released Music for Reiki and Meditation. The record went on to win the COVR Visionary Award for Best Meditation/Healing Music Album of the Year. The Healing Touch: Music for Reiki & Meditation, Vol. 2 followed in 2004. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
