Return To The Source Biography

Return To The Source

Following a successful party in Amsterdam on New Year's Eve 1992 called Return to the Source, promoter Chris Decker opened a regular club night in the U.K. with the same name and the same music: intensely spiritual psychedelic trance (sometimes known as Goa trance) based on chakra concepts. In 1995, the club moved from London to Brixton, and the first in a series of Return to the Source double-disc mix CDs surfaced. These albums featured not only music representative of the club but also lengthy booklets explaining much of the ideology so integral to Decker's vision. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
