No Trigger Biography

No Trigger

Hailing from central Massachusetts (read: not from Boston), the melodic hardcore unit No Trigger had become a five-piece by the time they self-released their first demo, the EP The World Is Not a Stage, in 2003. A split with Rhode Island's Wasteland followed the next year, and Japan's Big Mouth Records later combined both releases (remastered) into one seven-song album, Extinction in Stereo. Falling into the hardcore ranks beside Strike Anywhere and Rise Against, No Trigger signed to Nitro Records in March 2005. The guys -- singer Tom Rheault, guitarists Mike Pryzgoda and Jon Strader, drummer Mike Ciprari, and bassist Tom Ciesluk -- began work on their debut that fall with the production team of Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore, and the resulting record, Canyoneer, was issued in March 2006. Dates before and after found the band sharing gigs with acts like Crime in Stereo, A Wilhelm Scream, and Set Your Goals. ~ Corey Apar, All Music Guide
