Mord Biography
Mord is Norwegian for "murder," and the name chosen by vocalist/guitarist/bassist Nordra for the grim, misanthropic black metal band he founded in 1999. After recording a pair of demos in 2001 and 2003 as a one-man-band, Nordra welcomed Polish drummer Necrolucas before demo number three, "Unholy Inquisition," which gained many supporters among fans of Carpathian Forest, Darkthrone, and Impaled Nazarene (thanks in no small part to an excellent cover of Darkthrone's "Inn I De Dype Skogers Favn"). It also drew the attention of America's Southern Lord label, through whom Mord unleashed their full-length debut, titled Christendom Perished, in March 2006. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
