Guardians Of The Flame Biography

Guardians Of The Flame

Guardians of the Flame is an American heavy metal band founded by former Virgin Steele guitarist Jack Starr, and named after one of their most popular albums. Working with fellow veteran musicians like vocalist Shmoulik Avigal (ex-Picture and the Rods), bassist Ned Meloni (also Devil Childe and Phantom Lord), and drummer Joe Hasselvander (ex-Pentagram, Raven, etc.), Starr quickly recorded 2003's Under a Savage Sky, which features untainted, classic heavy metal and was released, appropriately enough, through the Cult Metal Classics specialty label. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
