Futique Biography
Yet another pseudonym for the work of Taylor Deupree (aka Taylor 808) and Savvas Ysatis (aka Omicron) -- that is, besides S.E.T.I.. and Arc -- Futique make the alias rather necessary, since the duo's material is surprisingly different from their usual glut of sparse ambience. Hip-hop beatboxes and Crooklyn dub make appearances alongside the jazzy rhythms on Futique's debut, Luv Luv (recorded, as always, for the Instinct label). Mr. So & So followed in 1996, and Go Low appeared three years later. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
